Our Owner
Unity 1 Home Health Care is owned and operated by Patricia Powell, a lifelong resident of Ohio with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. Patricia is strongly rooted in Scioto County with her children and grandchildren living nearby. Patricia believes in assisting her neighbors, being a strong part of her community, and doing it all with a smile.
Patricia was previously certified as an Advanced EMT of a local ambulance company. She is currently a Certified Nursing Assistant and approved Passport Transportation provider with CPR, First Aid, Drive Certified Education, and National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course.
Patricia believes in adding a personal touch to all the services that Unity 1 Home Health Care provides. You can often find Patricia delivering services to our clients herself, including transportation, personal care aide, home health aide, or public relations. She believes in knowing her clients personally and by name, address, needs, and caregiver.
Patricia enjoys promoting her company through community services including food drives, the Caregiver Closet, special needs cases, sponsoring school programs, and sporting events. She is an active part of and contributor to the Senior Expo hosted by PAA7 annually at the Scioto Country Fairgrounds.
You will often see Patricia participating in local festivals and parades passing out candy and fliers, driving the company car, or even dressed up as the Unity Bear. She takes an active role in knowing every part of her company and keeps up-to-date with any changes that take place.
Patricia aspires to make Unity 1 Home Health Care a premier place to be employed, offering many benefits to her staff and recognizing the extra efforts they put forth. Staff members take pride in the work they do and go out of their way to help every client with anything they need.
Patricia and her staff are down-to-earth, outgoing, and professional. They help guide clients through trying times with the services available at Unity 1 Home Health Care as well as those available through other local agencies.
Our Professional Staff
Amy Arnett, Director of Nursing
Amy Arnett has been dedicated to the profession of nursing since 2000. She is committed to the nursing culture of excellence, the value of professionalism, quality outcomes, and collaborative practice with patient/family-centered care. Amy exercises an open door policy to assist our clinical staff as well as provide resources for our patients and their families to remain actively independent in their own homes.
Kim Cable, Scheduling Coordinator
Kim Cable schedules and coordinates care with clinicians and patients. She assists patient support specialists with referrals as needed and assigns care teams for patients. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, Kim assists with the staffing for patients that need services. Kim also performs data entry into our electronic health record system and communicates with patient case managers regarding patient conditions.
Cheryl Ferguson, Payroll & Billing Specialist
Cheryl joined Unity 1 Home Health Care in May 2015 and brings over nine years of experience to Unity 1. She handles both payroll and billing-related tasks, including account receivables, insurance verification, and eligibility information.
